Humidifier
Experts recommend that you regularly replace essential humidifier parts - filter, wick, or pad so your machine will run efficiently and with no problems.
Water evaporates through these components, and leaves behind deposits of calcium, lime, and other debris. This build up greatly reduces the humidifier's effectiveness and is impossible to wash or scrap off.

Corroded fittings mean the hose has leaked or is leaking now. If you don't replace the hose, you may find the corroded fitting is virtually impossible to remove from the faucet when you need to remove it.

· When you use your air conditioner frequently, clean the condenser coils on your window or through-the-wall air conditioner. Remove the entire cover off your unit to gain access to the coils. To clean the coils, blow compressed air at them or use a soft bristle brush to wipe the dirt off.
· It is essential that you clean or replace the air conditioner filter frequently when your unit is used a lot. Depending on the air quality this may need to be done monthly throughout the cooling season. If you need to replace the filter, try electrostatic filter cut-to-fit material. The filter will fit most air conditioners.

Maintenance Tips - How to keep your Whirlpool refrigerator or freezer running trouble free all year long:
Automatic Defrost Refrigerator/Freezer
· Most modern refrigerators are self-defrosting so you don't have much to do. Remember to clean the drain pan underneath the refrigerator that collects water, so that water doesn't become stale and develop and odor.
· Clean the refrigerator cooling fan and the condenser coils. The coils are underneath the refrigerator. They usually look like a series of small tubes and "fins" connecting the tubes. Order a Refrigerator Condenser Brush to make the job easier.
· Check the door seals to be sure they are sealing properly against the frame of the refrigerator door. If they seals are torn, or not working properly, the refrigerator or freezer may not cool efficiently. This problem is worse when the weather is warmer and more humid. Clean the gaskets and frame with warm soapy water so they don't stick to the frame.
· Inspect the back wall of the freezer for any frost build-up. It is not normal to have any frost on the back wall or floor of a self-defrosting appliance.
